Mianne Adufutse is a graduate of Columbia College of Chicago where she studied fiction writing and poetry. At Columbia Mianne was the Black Student Union President, a Resident's Assistant, a Fiction Student Union Senator and awarded a Campus Life Recognition. She also studied African, Urban and Women's Issues and Psychology and participated in programs such as the Student Leadership Forum at Ferris State University.
Since her first violin class as a young child, Mianne has been motivated by the arts. She developed a strong love and passion for books and was encouraged at Cass Technical High to hone her skills in creative writing.
Mianne is half Ghanian and half Black American and enjoys reading and writing juicy novels you can't put down with protagonist female, African-American characters, prose and various genre short pieces.
Mianne has been a guest on WDET 101.9 FM's The Metro and spoke of her recently published works. She is currently a graduate student at Wayne State University and has had work featured in The Wayne Literary Review.
When she is not working on her new projects she is watching sunsets, singing, practicing belly dance or traveling.
